The situation
Solar air conditioning, LiFePO4 batteries, panels and power electronics for people living off the grid. They had nothing online.
Buyers here shop by numbers: 12, 24 or 48 volts, BTU capacity, wattage, cell format. A generic store layout hides all of that. And the first question every buyer has, how many panels and how much battery do I need, had no answer on the site.
What I built
- The theme and every page, card-based and built around large product images and spec-led headings.
- A catalog of 98 products in 23 collections: DC air conditioners and heat pumps, LiFePO4 cells and packs, SunPower and flexible panels, chargers, MPPT controllers and inverters, DC fridges, electric vehicles and geodesic dome houses.
- The Solar Heating and Cooling Kit Calculator. Enter the space size, insulation and hours of use, and it tells you how many panels and how much battery you need.
- A mega menu that lets buyers shop the way they think: by capacity, shape, voltage, size, wattage and feature, with links straight to the right variant.
- Product cards with from-pricing, sale prices and sold-out states across a catalog where one product can have many voltages and sizes.
- Checkout with Shop Pay, ACH direct debit and USDC, plus chat on the calculator page for buyers who need help sizing.
